Loren Chantland is a self taught artist who has been painting and drawing for 40+ years. He has enjoyed recognition on a national level for his art. He works from his quiet family farm in Iowa on commissioned work for a variety of clients. His wide range of experiences has enabled him to work on projects from Dubai to Hawaii. Loren does his research to  create master copies and new works inspired by classic works, from 19th century English painting to 15th century Chinese landscape painting. He enjoys portrait work and tends to favor a realistic modern style informed by the impressionists. His work reflects a philosophy of a restless ever searching mind, seeking to learn by stretching himself stylistically.
